​Basic Pistol Safety and Shooting course - $140/$165
USD (Both prices include range fees and certificate. $150 includes gun rental and ammunition)  - The NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course introduces you to the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and operating a pistol safely. Through this course, you will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, pistol shooting fundamentals, and pistol shooting activities. Colorado Concealed Carry Training - $100 USD - This intensive 4-hour course teaches you the finer aspects of carrying concealed on a daily basis. You will learn situational awareness and how to identify/handle potential threats, different modes of carry and how to choose which one is right for you, how to safely, and effectively, draw and fire from concealment, how to shoot from compromised positions, loading tactics, challenging shooting drills and much more. (This course is designed for moderately experienced shooters who have already taken a basic pistol course. Participants must provide own firearm, minimum of 50 rounds of ammunition, holster, belt, eye and ear protection.) Click HEREto view class schedule.

NRA Basics of Personal Protection in the Home Course - $175 USD - The NRA Basics of Personal Protection in the Home course is designed to develop in you the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a firearm for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding citizen's right to self defense. 

This course builds on the skills already learned in the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course. In this course, you will learn to use a defensive or flash sight picture, to fire both single shots and aimed pairs from various shooting positions, to shoot using center-of-mass hold, to effectively use cover and concealment, and to employ point-shooting and multiple target engagement techniques. Also covered are techniques for improving awareness and promoting mental preparation, methods of enhancing home safety with a firearm and the legal aspects of the use of deadly force in self-defense. ​NRA Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home- $300 USD - The NRA Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home course introduces you to the knowledge, skills, and attitude involved in safely, responsibly and effectively employing a concealed pistol for self-defense. Participants in this third course must possess the basic defensive pistol skills presented in the NRA Basics of Personal Protection In The Home Course. Participants must also understand the basic legal concepts relating to the use of firearms in self-defense, and must know and observe not only general gun safety rules, but also those safety principles that are specific to defensive situation.

This is an intensive course, as you must learn and practice many diverse shooting skills in order to respond quickly and appropriately to the broad range of threats you may encounter outside the home. Similarly, you must also learn and understand the unique safety and legal issues that apply when a concealed pistol is carried in public. This course covers the legal ramifications of concealed carry, including who can legally carry a pistol, when concealed carry is and is not permitted, the legal and ethical ramification when responding to a life-threatening encounter using a concealed pistol, and the legal, moral, emotional, and social aftermath of the use of deadly force outside the home.  

Although there is a great deal of new content in the NRA Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home Course, this content builds on the basic defensive shooting skills, safety principles, and legal concepts presented int he NRA Basics of Personal Protection In The Home Course. Thus, the lesson plans of the NRA Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home Course presuppose that you possess the knowledge, skills and attitude taught in the previous course. The large amount of new content in the NRA Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home Course precludes any substantial review of fundamental shooting techniques or basic safety information.

Prospective participants can demonstrate that they have the requisite knowledge, skills and attitudes by producing an NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home Course Certificate, or by passing the pre-course evaluation.
